Giuseppe Garibaldi, “L’Eroe dei due mondi” curò, alle Terme Manzi, le ferite che si era procurato durante la battaglia di Aspromonte per l’Unità d’Italia. Nel 1960 il Terme Manzi Hotel fu acquistato e ristrutturato dal famoso editore italiano Angelo Rizzoli che, amando molto l’isola d’Ischia contribuì a farla conoscere nel mondo del cinema e del “Jet set” internazionale.

In 1863 Luigi Manzi, having discovered the exceptional properties of the “Gurgitello” spring, decided to build a thermal centre which would provide treatment and relaxation in a luxurious and elegant environment. Even Giuseppe Garibaldi, “The hero of the two worlds”, treated his wounds from the battle of Aspromonte in the fight for a United Italy at the Terme Manzi. In 1960 the Terme Manzi Hotel was purchased and renovated by the famous Italian editor Angelo Rizzoli who, because of his great love for
